Playboy-Without-Naked-Ladies

It doesn’t matter if you enjoy it or not – Playboy has and forever will be the first glimpse into maturity most men had in their youth. However, this is unlikely to happen for future generations, as this iconic magazine is set on discontinuing their nude content, which it was best known for.

The End Of An Era

This news comes from The New York Times report in which the Playboy’s chief content officer Cory Jones and editor-in-chief Hugh Hefner declare that the magazine will no longer publish pictures of naked women.

Their reasoning is somewhat plausible, yet nonetheless devastating.

As the duo stated, even though you’re unlikely to find pornography in Playboy, it’s still one click away from you.

Furthermore, the magazine wants to become a family-friendly business so that it can actually earn some cash in its online form.

From its peak in the mid-70s, Playboy dropped its physical circulation by a whopping 5.6 million. This is more than enough reason to make some drastic changes. Nonetheless, we will still miss the original Playboy which was a metaphorical gateway to manhood for many men in the past.
