Before a relationship is topped off with a wedding, there comes a moment when each couple tells each other those three magic words: “I love you.” This simple, yet powerful phrase usually takes things from dating to a serious relationship, and that’s why it’s so important to many of us.

But besides mustering enough courage to say it, this phrase needs to be said at the right moment and in the right way. Putting your heart on the line isn’t easy, but taking the risk might result in making a relationship twice as strong – so why pass on an opportunity?

Subjective Timing

If we were to be honest here, we would have to say that there is no possible way of determining at what point in a relationship ‘the love phrase’ should be said. Some people say it two weeks in, while others wait years to speak their heart.

It depends on each and every person, but when the time is right, we promise you’ll feel it.

Now, let’s get to the method. As you might know, girls love romantic gestures in almost any situation. However, this is not one of them, as you’ll risk ruining the whole experience for both of you by overdoing it.

Instead, she’ll appreciate it more if you’re sounding honest while saying “I love you.” Add a positive attitude and a smile to that honesty, and you’ll have an event both of you will remember for the rest of your lives.

Worst Case Scenario

You’ve said it, but she didn’t say it back. Now what? This is the only downside to showing love for the first time to your girl, so pay attention to what you’re about to read, because doing stuff like this never turns out to be good.

If she doesn’t feel the same way, don’t break down or beg pathetically. Take it like a man and move on – grab a few beers with your pals and get over it. You’ll find a girl who actually might be worth your time and effort soon enough.

One last thing – if you’re considering saying “I love you” during or after sex, we beg you to reconsider. Saying the phrase for the first time after intercourse will only make her wonder whether you’ve said it due to feeling good after an orgasm, or if what you said even came from your heart.
