Everyone loves grilled meat. And what better way to consume it than to make a sandwich out of it?

Let’s have a look at the ultimate steak sandwich. Here’s what you’re going to need:

– Flank steak
– Crusty bread
– Butter
– Jalapeño paste
– Tomato
– Red onion
– Poblano pepper

First up you want to season that piece of meat. Rub it with some olive oil, and your choice of seasoning, and then let it sit for a good 15 minutes.

Now here’s where the kick comes in. It’s all about the jalapeño butter.

Throw 1 tablespoon of butter with 1 tablespoon of jalapeño paste into a bowl, then toss in a bit of olive oil and coarse salt, then mix thoroughly.

Now cut the onion and pepper and drizzle with olive oil. Toss them onto your hot grill and lightly char them. Once the veggies are ready, take them off the heat and throw on the steak.

You just want a quick sear, so three to five minutes per side is plenty. Once cooked, let the meat sit for five minutes. While the steak sits, butter your crusty bread with that intense jalapeño butter, and throw it on the grill. You just want to lightly toast the bread.

Stack up your ingredients and serve. Now enjoy the best steak sandwich you’ve ever had.
