Why Women Love Men With Beards So Much

Women just LOVE men with strong beards, and this “new” trend isn’t actually that new. Let’s see how and why.

Modern women consider bearded men to be macho and sexy because they can protect them in case of danger. It is in their nature to be drawn to men who are rugged, strong and men who can take care of them.

Since fully-fledged beard is often associated with strength in men, women are automatically attracted to them.

Studies Don’t Lie

This long-held assumption that men with beards are more attractive goes way back and women have stuck with it.

According to one study conducted in the 1970s (but also numerous newer studies) women appear to be more attracted to and more likely to develop a long or short-term relationship with bearded men.

They find men with full beards more aggressive and more mature, which is why they prefer to seek romantic partners in them. In other words, if you can’t grow a beard, you might be screwed.

Beard As An Ornament

According to certain psychologists, beards are often seen as ornaments that some men wear to enhance their physical attractiveness. Just like women wear makeup, necklaces, bracelets, or other accessories, beards can also serve the same purpose in men.

Another study says that women find beards attractive because they make men look unique, even though – especially in this day and age – there seems to be more men with beards than men who shave. Streets are flooded with hipsters who try to be unique by growing beards, but in the end they all end up looking the same.

Paradoxical, indeed.
